Hasselblad Offers Phocus Software For Mac
Hasselblad has updated its Phocus image-processing software. Hasselblad said it overhauled the user interface to make it cleaner and more intuitive. There are some new software tools in Phocus. In addition to recognizing Hasselblad’s RAW files, including those from its latest H6D 100-MP medium-format digital camera, Phocus also can work on RAW files from more than 200 other digital cameras. You can tether and control Hasselblad's digital cameras through Phocus.
The software can take advantage of the advanced capabilities of GPUs (graphics processing units). That means if you have a higher-end graphics card, you should expect to see better performance. What’s even more impressive is that the software package is free. Phocus 3.0 is available for either Macs or PCs. For Mac users, you need to be running OS X 10.10 or higher.

Only 64-bit Macs are supported. Hasselblad says the software can run in 2GB of RAM but recommends 8GB. For Windows, it runs only on 64-bit versions of Windows 7, 8 and 10. It will not run under Windows XP (32- or 64-bit) or any earlier version. There is no Linux version.
Hasselblad recommends that your Windows PC have at least 8GB of RAM. You can download it here: Watch Hasselblad's tutorial for Phocus 3.0.
